APF Villeneuve supports triathlete Julianna Larose during a memorable season

APF Villeneuve is proud to have supported promising triathlete Julianna Larose for an entire season.  

Despite working in a different field, company president Érick Villeneuve shares Julianna’s vision of always pushing personal limits. 

Julianna Larose, Quebec champion in her age category in 2022, was awarded a $500 merit scholarship from APF Villeneuve. This generous contribution was supplemented by an additional $500 scholarship in recognition of her exemplary academic record. A total of $1,000 in financial support, which will again be awarded to Julianna for the 2024 season, has enabled her to fully devote herself to her passion. 

This talented athlete recently completed a memorable triathlon season in her first of two years in the U-15 age category. She finished the season in fourth place in Quebec, just one place off the podium, despite an unfortunate injury at the Esprit de Montréal Triathlon. Her tenacity was illustrated by her determination to complete the race despite obstacles.   

In her season recap, Julianna shared her accomplishments, including three podium finishes with two silver medals and one bronze medal. She also listed her notable performances at the Nicolet, Joliette and Duchesnay Triathlons, highlighting her consistency and athletic talent. 

In addition to her athletic achievements, Julianna has also demonstrated academic success, completing Secondary 2 with an average of over 90%. She also expressed her ongoing commitment to the Sport-Études program, recalling the successful management of her schedule between accelerated courses and sports training. 

While the triathlon season is over, Julianna Larose is now looking to the future with determination. Continuous training as well as running and swimming competitions remain on the agenda.
